Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role are to teach the theoretical and practical instruction of students. The successful applicant will understand the curriculum and exercise sound judgment in using it effectively. He or she will track grades and assess students’ progress according to defined criteria using student management programs.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- A teaching certificate would be an advantage.



A Certificate Level III in Food Textiles & Technology or Kitchen Operation or Cookery or any equivalent tertiary qualification from a recognized PSET provider is preferred
- Has English language concepts and skills (verbal and written)
- Has the ability to motivate students and increase learning
- Is organised and hard-working, with the ability to work well with students including an understanding of proven appropriate classroom management strategies
- Has understanding of Food Textiles & Technology subject knowledge, key concepts& elements
- Has experience with effective remediation and response to intervention practises
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Maintains temple worthiness standards
- Police clearance is required
