Do you thrive on coordination, logistics, and keeping things running like clockwork in a 100% volunteer environment? We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Scheduler – Delivery & Pick‑Up to manage the movement of goods and people that keep our Store’s services flowing within the community.
About The Role
As our Scheduler – Delivery & Pick‑Up, you will be the logistical backbone of our delivery and pick-up operations. You will work closely with movers, Store staff, customers, donors, food teams, and warehouse staff to build and manage efficient schedules that serve our community with care and consistency. This role requires availability on Tuesdays and Fridays from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM, with some additional coordination that can be done flexibly — making it a great fit for someone looking for a part‑time, structured commitment.
What You’ll Do
- Scheduling & Coordination
- Communicate with and schedule movers, including drivers and assistants, for all deliveries and pick‑ups
- Collaborate with Store staff, movers, customers, and donors to build transparent, efficient delivery and pick‑up schedules
- Coordinate with Food staff and drivers to manage food pick‑up and delivery logistics
- Communication
- Serve as the key point of contact between all parties involved in deliveries and pick‑ups
- Ensure clear and timely communication so that schedules run smoothly and issues are addressed promptly
What You Bring
- A servant leader approach with dedication to serving those in need with love, respect, justice, and joy
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Confidence using digital maps to create efficient routes, particularly within the Brantford and County of Brant areas
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts calmly and efficiently
- Availability every Tuesday and Friday from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM — this is a firm requirement
- A team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving
