Reporting to the Silviculture Superintendent, the Silviculture Coordinator will work with a team of professionals responsible for all reforestation activities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of reforestation, including developing plans and prescriptions, contract administration, contractor supervision, data collection, reporting, and budget preparation.
- Program coordination with other members of the Silviculture team and the Planning and Operations Departments.
- Monitoring contractor compliance with safe operating procedures, SFI certifications, and health and safety programs.
Qualifications
- Forestry, natural resources, or relevant degree or diploma.
- Registered Skilled Forester (RPF) or Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) Designation with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia (FPBC), or eligibility for registration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven organizational skills, and a willingness to learn and undertake new challenges.
- 2-4 years of relevant silviculture experience.
- Proficiency with Silviculture software, including CENGEA (LRM), ArcMap, SNAP, RESULTS, MS Office, iPads, Drones, and GPS considered an asset.

- Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range for this position $72,000 - $110,000 may vary depending on education and relevant experience.
