On behalf of our client, Victoria Foundation, we are searching for Senior Accountant to join their Finance team in Victoria, BC. This is a full-time permanent position offering a flexible hybrid work environment. This role is ideal for an analytical accounting professional who enjoys balancing hands-on accounting with financial analysis, process improvement and continuous learning.

- Meaningful work that contributes directly to community wellbeing. What you’ll be doing - Prepare and review financial reports, dashboards and Board reporting materials.
- Review financial transactions, journal entries, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial information.
- Support fund accounting, investment reporting and regulatory filings.
- Collaborate across teams to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Conduct financial analysis and research to support organizational initiatives.
- Serve as a technical resource to colleagues by providing guidance on accounting practices and reviewing work to support accuracy and consistency across the Finance team.
- Contribute to system enhancements, special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial operations. What you bring with you - CPA designation (recently qualified) with 3–5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, ideally within the non-profit sector or public practice.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASNPO, financial reporting and CRA filings.
- Familiarity with investment reporting, with an interest in developing further in this area.
- Proficiency in Office 365, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills and comfort working with financial systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, manage complex transactions and support process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and clear communication skills.
