Senior Accountant will oversee accounting functions ensuring records meet standards, analyze documents, record transactions, produce payroll, and report to the Director of Finance.

Department: Accounting and Finance Full‑time position Key Responsibilities - Use QuickBooks to prepare and record assets, liabilities, revenue, and expense entries.

- Monitor inventory and COGS status monthly.
- Produce monthly inventory control reports including inventory valuation, BOM, WIP analysis, and COGS.
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling bank transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Produce error‑free accounting reports and present results.
- Maintain general ledger, prepare trial balance, and reconcile entries.
- Identify gaps in processes and collaborate to implement improvements.
- Summarize financial status by preparing balance sheets, P&L;, and other statements.
- Enter monthly adjusting journal entries.
- Account for inter‑company transactions.
- Report GST/HST, WSIB, and EHT.
- Maintain confidentiality of company information.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering,



production, operations, sales, etc.).
- Support vendor research, selection, process mapping, improvement, and ERP integration.
- Develop and facilitate budgeting, costing, and financial training for leaders.
- Handle additional responsibilities and special projects. Knowledge and Skills - Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and GAAP.
- Familiarity with financial statements.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Education and Experience - Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in manufacturing.

- 1 year experience with inventory management systems and QuickBooks Online.
- BSc or BComm in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- CPA designation or working toward would be an asset.
- Experience with general ledger functions and month‑end/year‑end close process.
- Previous experience supporting ERP implementation is an asset.

Compensation The expected annual salary range is $70,000 to $90,000, with final compensation determined by skills, qualifications, and experience.
