We are looking for an Organizational Change Manager for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Edmonton, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

This position is 100% on site. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.

Role Description

The Organizational Change Manager (OCM) will lead the development and execution of strategic, long-term change management initiatives to support navigating complex transformation driven by system implementations, policy shifts, funding changes, and evolving business models.

Working in close partnership with senior leaders, project teams, steering committees, and implementation vendors, the OCM will design and implement comprehensive change strategies grounded in recognized methodologies. The role is responsible for driving adoption, mitigating change fatigue, strengthening organizational change capability, and ensuring sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute change management strategies and roadmaps aligned to business goals.
- Assess change impacts, stakeholder needs, and organizational readiness.
- Design and implement engagement, communication, and adoption plans.
- Collaborate with leaders and project teams to coordinate change activities.
- Support training and enablement efforts, including adapting materials for the organization.
- Monitor change progress, track adoption metrics, and address resistance.




- Provide leadership coaching and change support resources.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and recommend improvements.

Required Skills and Experience

- 8+ years of experience supporting change initiatives
- Previous work experience within the education sector is highly desired
- Proven experience leading Organizational Change Management initiatives within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Solid working knowledge of recognized change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting large-scale system implementations or enterprise-wide transformations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute change strategies, communications, and training approaches.
- Experience engaging senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
- Excellent facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
