Must-Have

- Senior years’ experience in avionics verification, qualification, certification, or systems engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience reviewing qualification documentation.
- Experience reviewing Qualification Test Plans (QTP) and Qualification Test Reports (QTR).
- Hands-on experience on at least one certified aircraft program.
- Prior experience working for: OEM/Tier-1 supplier

Good-to-Have

- Certification Experience in Direct support to FAA certification programs.
- Direct support to EASA certification programs.
- Experience supporting TCCA certification projects.
- Experience participating in SOI reviews.
- Experience preparing certification compliance evidence

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Qualification Test Plan (QTP)



includes Review Qualification Test Plans (QTPs) for completeness and technical adequacy, verify proper coverage of all allocated requirements, Confirm alignment between:

Equipment requirements, System requirements, Aircraft requirements, Qualification objectives, Verify that test methods adequately demonstrate compliance, Ensure environmental qualification test conditions are correctly defined, Verify applicability of environmental categories and operating conditions, Assess test setup descriptions for adequacy and repeatability, Review pass/fail criteria and acceptance criteria, Validate test sample configuration and part number applicability, Review equipment operating modes addressed during testing

Qualification Test Report (QTR) includes Review Qualification Test Reports for accuracy and completeness, Verify correlation between approved QTP and executed testing, Confirm all planned tests have been executed appropriately, Validate, Test results, Measurements, Data summaries, Failure records, Deviations, Corrective actions, Review evidence supporting requirement compliance, Verify sufficient objective evidence exists to support certification, Assess anomalies encountered during testing, Ensure proper disposition of test failures and retests, Confirm qualification conclusions are technically justified.

Verification Compliance Assessment involves Review verification artefacts against System requirements, Equipment requirements, Interface requirements, Certification objectives, Assess requirement-to-test traceability, Verify that verification activities satisfy allocated requirements, Identify missing verification coverage, Validate verification methods, Test, Analysis, Inspection, Similarity, Ensure evidence supports compliance claims, Confirm closure of verification activities before certification milestones.

Coordinate with customer specialists for disciplines including EMC/EMI, Thermal, Structural / Stress, Safety, Systems Engineering, Certification.

Perform detailed technical reviews to identify:

Documentation Gaps

- Missing requirements coverage, test evidence, environmental conditions, Missing acceptance criteria

Technical Issues
- Inadequate test methods
- Inappropriate category selection
- Traceability issues

Certification Concerns
- Unsupported compliance statements
- Lack of objective evidence

Supplier Performance and Deliverable Review Responsibilities includeReview supplier-generated qualification documentation, evaluate quality and completeness of supplier deliverables, Assess supplier responsiveness to review comments, Support supplier technical reviews, Monitor closure of qualification issues, Review re-worked documents, Ensure supplier compliance with customer expectations, Provide performance feedback and status reporting

Mandatory practical knowledge of RTCA DO-160, ARP4754A, ARP4761 / ARP4761A, DO-178C awareness, DO-254 awareness, Aircraft development lifecycle, System verification processes.

Documentation Review Skills inQTP, QTR, Compliance Reports, Qualification Reports, Verification Procedures, Verification Reports, Test Readiness Review Packages, Qualification Review Packages, Certification Data Packages.

Specialized Qualification Knowledge in EMC / EMI Testing, Lightning Qualification, Structural Qualification, Thermal Qualification.

Tool Experience in IBM DOORS, DOORS Next, Polarion, Jama, Cameo / MagicDraw, Teamcenter, Windchill, JIRA, Configuration Management Systems

Additional Desirable Skills include Supplier management experience, Root cause analysis and corrective action reviews, Test laboratory coordination, Aircraft integration testing exposure, Systems engineering background, Safety assessment familiarity, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) exposure, multi-disciplinary review experience (EMC, Stress, Thermal, Structures).
