Current Rate of Pay Min $49.93 - Max $62.41 Current Shifts Primarily Days Position Summary The Speech Language Pathologist works as a member of the acute care interdisciplinary team on the development of a comprehensive Speech, Swallowing and Communication program at Guelph General Hospital. The primary role of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides high quality, safe, effective and evidence-based care in partnership with patients and families, in accordance with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario standards and GGH’s mission, vision,



values and policies. The SLP expertise includes prevention, identification, evaluation, and treatment of congenital and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. The SLP Provides patient and family centered care to patients with communication and swallowing disorders within an interdisciplinary setting Acts as a clinical resource and provides education to the interdisciplinary team and conducts educational sessions as part of the Waterloo Wellington Aphasia Program and Stroke initiative Provides education to and supervision of students Demonstrates interdisciplinary collaboration, communication and co-operation internally and externally to the Hospital, with respect to SLP issues #J-18808-Ljbffr
