This role operates at the intersection of backend engineering, LLM integration, and hands-on experimentation. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Researchers, and Software Engineers to tackle challenging generative AI problems. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers seeking deep technical ownership, backend system design, and work on cutting-edge platforms that create impact across an entire company—while contributing to technology that advances fairness and accessibility within the legal system.

This is a hybrid role, 3x per week at our SF office three days per week. Manage projects through their complete lifecycle—from architecture to deployment, monitoring, and improvement.

Engineering Excellence: Develop high-quality, maintainable code using a modern tech stack (Python, Postgres, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch).

Growth & Collaboration: Grow as an engineer working alongside world-class peers on impactful,



cutting-edge generative AI projects. Extensive experience building frameworks, libraries, and distributed systems with a focus on reliability, observability, and performance. Proficiency delivering production-ready code, managing infrastructure, and building RESTful APIs to industry standards.

Experience owning and delivering complex technical projects. Proficiency in Python or other languages (Go, Java, C++). Own infrastructure and services for reliable deployment, experimentation, and iteration of AI-powered systems.

Influence the technical direction and long-term architecture of EvenUp’s AI platform. Maintain high standards for reliability, performance, observability, and maintainability. Drive projects from early design through deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement.

Bonus (Nice to have): Background with AI systems, LLMs, or machine learning infrastructure.
