It will influence customer outcomes by partnering with the business on transformation initiatives, i.E., lowering processing times, omni experience and automation.As a strategic partner, you will have accountability for owning the common technical platforms like Contact Centre, Workflow, IDP and API for the Canada Life Co enterprise.What You Will DoAct as a strategic advisor (problem solving, mentoring, and collaboration) to the Business Leads in the development of their IT strategyMaintain pulse on emerging technologies, service provider options and competitor intelligenceDevelop long‑range plans and be accountable for the effective application of technology to support business strategy achievementChampion the company’s use of automation technology for competitive advantage and customer experience. Provide support and ideas to the Business Leaders on how to accomplish this.Deliver a significant system modernization program to enable our automation roadmaps,
migrating legacy back‑office systems to target platforms.Lead the strategic long‑term and daily operations of technology with a strong focus on delivery excellence. Ensure the effective and effective use of financial and people resources.Accountable to proactively work with internal clients and external customers to understand their needs and work to deliver creative solutionsResponsible for working with technology leaders to influence the evolution of practices, processes, methods, methodologies and standards so these are both customer oriented and technology orientedAccountable to design, buy, or alter technology solutions and processes that help create a clear competitive advantage to the business unit or that supports the organization more broadlyResponsible for attracting, retaining and developing employees, and fostering a high‑performance culture. Create a team environment that focuses on consistently delivering value and influences this culture within the broader Technology teamManage risk and compliance in accordance with Canadian and Global standardsWhat You Will Bring10+ years experience as a technology leader and with either a business unit or a technology role5+ years in direct customer‑facing technology with extensive experience in automationExperience in financial services, working in a regulated environmentExperience building and working in matrix and complex organizations.
