Join Trans Mountain as a Project Controls Analyst to oversee budget management and resource planning in Calgary. This contract role supports major projects with in-depth reporting and cost control expertise.
As a key member of the Major Projects Office, you will monitor and control budgets relating to in-house and third-party costs. Your focus will include cost forecasting, actuals tracking, and creating detailed workforce reports. You will work closely with Finance and various functional teams to ensure alignment on project resources and budget performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish cost budgets for Owner’s resources and third-party costs
• Monitor project costs, tracking commitments and performing variance analysis
• Lead resource planning for all major projects
• Produce reports on workforce utilization and budget versus actuals
• Facilitate cost and resource review meetings with teams
Requirements:
• Minimum 7 years in project controls or capital project coordination
• Solid expertise in cost budgeting and forecasting
• Hands-on experience with managing Owner's Costs
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills for complex reporting
