Overview Join one of the world’s leading suppliers of wind power solutions, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, as an OPS Electrical Specialist. This position is responsible for performing and reporting on various troubleshooting tasks, turbine inspections, and component repairs. This role provides troubleshooting support on all components associated with the wind turbine. 95% travel from site to site is required. What You'll Do The Traveling Troubleshooting Technician will interface with clients and work with small crews on a regular basis. They are expected to lead and manage their tasks with minimal supervision. Job sites include primarily Canada with potential for the US. Perform mainly pre-defined technical tasks (e.G., basic engineering and maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site. Coordinate and accomplish defined service operations and/or resolve product issues for customers ' equipment. Adhere to defined processes and applicable regulations. Relocation will not be offered for this role. Responsibilities Strong written and verbal communication skills to describe complex damages, participate in inspection and repair report preparation, and follow up on final resolution Advanced knowledge of maintenance and electrical testing equipment for turbines; identify process improvements including reduction of non-value-added operations, productivity opportunities, and safety opportunities Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, diagnostic tools and equipment Willingness to travel for extended periods of time – up to 95% Ability to work within maximum safety guidelines using personal protective equipment Perform other duties; safe, team-oriented work habits are essential Assist site O&M and troubleshooting efforts when needed What You Bring High School Graduate Related work experience: 2–4 years – Required Willingness to travel for extended periods – up to 95% Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; maintain a valid license and acceptable driving record; may be subject toperiodic DMV checks Ability to work within maximum safety guidelines using personal protective equipment About The Team With our team of experts, we offer onsite and offsite wind farm technical support in composite, mechanical and electrical disciplines to effectively support our team of specialist field technicians to do the job right the first time and meet customer needs. Siemens Energy offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness, paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000. Specific offers are determined by factors such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range; compensation depends onqualifications. This position is for an Immediate Vacancy.
