Robotics is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office.

Roles and Responsibilities Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) for electronic systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, and manufacturability. Conduct circuit simulations using software tools to analyze and optimize circuit performance, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards. Design wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for electrical systems, considering factors such as signal integrity, thermal management, and EMC/EMI compliance.

Develop system architectures and integrate electrical components into larger systems, considering overall functionality, performance, and safety requirements. Lead electrical engineering projects from concept to completion. Support the project management office in developing work breakdown structures.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware engineers, and product designers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other components. Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements. Develop test plans and procedures, conduct testing,



and perform validation to ensure the reliability and performance of electrical systems.

Establish design criteria for projects using required codes and standards. Participate in the design review process. Review and approve engineering deliverables. Work with the Production department to provide technical assistance during the manufacturing process.

Work with customers to understand project requirements and provide operational support while in the field.

Qualifications and Experience Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent engineering discipline with 8+ years of experience. Excellent design standards and strong troubleshooting skills. Effectively focus on high level project objectives while executing detailed design tasks. Demonstrated technical skills along with a proven track record for success.

Experience in the design specification, installation and connection methods of electrical equipment. Design and review PCB Fab drawings, PCB Assembly drawings and provide input into new product designs. Robust written and oral communication skills (technical reporting). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team environment. High degree of organization, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Preferred Skills Experience with the following would be considered an asset: Experience with Altium.

Experience with Zuken E3.

Experience with Sonar systems especially in an ocean environment.

Experience with LabVIEW.

Experience with high voltages.

Experience with ABB motors and drives.

Experience with embedded controllers.
