We're partnering with a well-established general contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to join their Civil Infrastructure team in Edmonton. This is an excellent chance to join a respected contractor delivering a range of complex infrastructure projects across Western Canada. You'll play a key role in securing major projects by leading estimates from concept through tender, working closely with operations, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to develop competitive and accurate proposals.
Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of estimates for civil infrastructure projects from concept through tender Develop bid strategies to maximize project success Prepare detailed material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor pricing Coordinate subcontractor and supplier pricing while evaluating scope and risk Conduct value engineering and cost analysis to optimize project delivery Provide constructability input during pre-construction planning Work closely with operations teams to support procurement, scheduling,
and project execution Track estimate performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers Qualifications &
Experience 10+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry 5+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor Experience estimating heavy civil or infrastructure projects Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, tendering, cost planning, and project controls Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel What's Offered Competitive salary plus performance bonus Full health and dental benefits RRSP matching program Stable pipeline of work with long-term career growth Supportive leadership team and opportunities for career progression
