Limelight works with finance teams that are outgrowing spreadsheets and need a contemporary way to plan, forecast, and report. Our customers don’t need “implementation support” — they need a finance partner who understands FP&A; deeply and can guide them through real-world planning challenges. This is a senior, client-facing consulting role .
You will work directly with CFOs, VPs of Finance, and FP&A; leaders to design, build, and operationalize budgeting, forecasting, workforce planning, and reporting workflows inside Limelight. If you’ve lived in FP&A;, led planning cycles, built models from scratch, and can confidently run a room with finance leaders — this role is for you. What You’ll Do
Act as the primary finance advisor for a portfolio of customers during onboarding and beyond Lead working sessions with CFOs, VPs of Finance, Controllers, and FP&A; teams Translate messy, Excel-heavy planning processes into clean, scalable FP&A; workflows Ask the right finance questions — not just follow a checklist FP&A; Solution Design
Design and implement: Annual budgets and rolling forecasts Driver-based revenue models Workforce and headcount planning Actual vs budget / variance analysis Board- and exec-ready reporting Guide customers on best practices , tradeoffs,
and design decisions Ensure solutions are not just built — but adopted Communication & Stakeholder Management
Clearly explain complex financial concepts to both finance and non-finance stakeholders Manage expectations, timelines, and priorities with senior clients Confidently present recommendations and push back when needed Build trust — customers should feel “this person gets our business” Collaboration
Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success Provide feedback to product based on real customer FP&A; use cases Help shape implementation standards and playbooks as Limelight scales Who We’re Looking For
Required Experience
7+ years of experience in FP&A;, finance, or finance consulting Prior client-facing experience (consulting, advisory, or external-facing finance role) Comfort working directly with CFOs and senior finance leaders Advanced Excel/financial modeling background (you’ve built real models, not just reviewed them) Experience implementing or working with FP&A; tools or ERPs Comfortable leading projects without detailed instructions Education & Credentials - Bachelor’s degree in
Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
(required) - Nice to have certifications CPA orCFA
