Join CPABC as an Economist, responsible for shaping economic thought leadership. This full-time role focuses on data-driven insights for policy and public interest communications.
Reporting to the Vice President, External Affairs and Communications, the Economist manages the BC Check-Up analysis and CPABC's budget submissions. With a strong emphasis on translating complex economic data into accessible content, you will develop editorial insights that promote CPABC as a leader in economic discourse. Your contributions support significant policy recommendations and enhance engagement with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance economic indicators and benchmarks • Create editorial content for CPABC’s thought leadership • Manage BC Check-Up surveys and analyze economic trends • Prepare CPABC's budget submission with actionable recommendations • Oversee media relations and coordinate newsletters
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field • Minimum three years’ experience in public policy development • Robust research skills in economic analysis • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to synthesize large data sets effectively
