Job Summary Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategic Finance, the Senior Manager, Corporate Development will evaluate and close strategic acquisitions for TMX Group and its business units.
Key Accountabilities - Conduct in‑depth financial analysis and valuation of potential acquisitions, investments, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain complex three‑statement models including DCF and accretion/dilution analysis across various scenarios.
- Lead and project manage external advisors, corporate functions, business units and IMO through due diligence and transaction execution.
- Own due diligence workstreams and identify research on market multiples and precedent transactions.
- Create high‑quality presentation materials for executive and board level stakeholders.
- Track target opportunities using a deal pipeline tool and drive continuous enhancement of the Corporate Development playbook.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field. Preference for MBA, CFA, CPA, or Computer Science/Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in corporate development, private equity,
investment banking or equity research focused on acquisitions and investments.
- Advanced financial modelling skills with dynamic three‑statement models, DCF, accretion/dilution, sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, corporate finance and valuation techniques.
- Experience with transaction process and related activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Capital IQ Pro; ability to use AI, data analytics/visualisation or Google Workspace is an asset.
- Excellent project management, collaboration, communication and organizational skills.
- Self‑starter with initiative, able to work independently and collaboratively across the organization.
Compensation Salary Range: $135,000 – $165,000 CAD per year. Short‑listed candidates will be required to complete a live technical case study.
