Our client in the public sector is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join its Digital Solutions team. The ideal candidate will actively contributes to test strategy, automation, continuous improvement, and modern quality engineering practices.

Duration: 8 months + extension

Location: hybrid 3d Toronto office

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for web, mobile, API, backend, integration, and AI-enabled applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, exploratory, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
- Review business requirements, user stories, technical designs, and acceptance criteria to identify quality risks early in the development lifecycle.
- Validate REST APIs, backend services, system integrations, and data integrity across enterprise applications.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve automation coverage and execution efficiency.
- Execute performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter and k6.
- Perform accessibility testing using tools such as Axe and Lighthouse and validate A/B testing implementations.
- Support testing of cloud-based applications deployed in Azure and AWS environments.
- Leverage AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve test design, automation, and quality engineering practices.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts,



UX designers, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide quality status updates, mentor team members, and champion continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

- 5–10 years of hands-on software quality assurance experience testing enterprise digital applications.
- Strong experience testing web applications, mobile applications, APIs, backend services, integrations, and AI-enabled solutions.
- Experience validating REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar API testing frameworks.
- Exposure to performance testing using JMeter, k6, or equivalent tools.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications in Azure and/or AWS environments.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards (WCAG) and tools including Axe and Lighthouse.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and up-to-date Quality Engineering practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, proactive, and accountable approach.
- Demonstrated curiosity, enthusiasm, ownership, and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
