Lead network services with the National Science Foundation at Palmer Station, Antarctica. As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll manage network equipment, provide user support, and ensure security measures. In this full-time seasonal role, you will oversee the administration and maintenance of network systems and assist with desktop support.

This position is crucial for ensuring that networking components are reliable and secure, leveraging technologies such as Cisco routers and Bluecoat PacketShaper while working in a unique and challenging setting. Key Responsibilities:

- Install and configure network hardware and software
- Monitor network performance, diagnosing issues proactively
- Manage Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls
- Facilitate video teleconferences for consultations
- Support Windows and Macintosh workstations

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Strong troubleshooting skills in LAN and WAN environments
- Experience with Cisco network technologies
- Familiarity with VoIP and Microsoft systems
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
