Our client, a small sized O&G; upstream producer, is looking for a solid Operational Accountant for a 12 month contract term.
The role is 5 days in the office, with the offices being in downtown Calgary.
Key Responsibilities;
- Month end accruals and accounting;
- Analysis and preparation of operational accounting in oil and gas, including capital accoutning, month end reporting, JV accounting, etc
- Month end accruals for AFE and CAPEX expenditures;
- Allocating costs to different projects;
- Reviewing JV agreements and ensuring compliance;
- Reviewing and adjusting for budgets;
- Communicating with operations and field staff on a regular basis;
Requirements;
- 3+ years in a similar role
- 3+ years O&G; upstream experience, ideally in a smaller company
