Seeking a home health care aide to work with a quadriplegic adult male in his private home on Friday afternoons.

Duties

You MUST be able to do the following:
Work independently; there will be training shifts initially, but then you will be working alone.
Provide baths using a mechanical lift; client is 6’5”, so you must be able to physically manage this.
Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Provide wound care according to client’s needs.
Be comfortable with a large family dog in the home.

Requirements
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is preferred.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
Previous involvement in medication administration or nursing-related tasks is beneficial.




Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance.
Demonstrated compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.
Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent training is preferred but not required; willingness to undergo training is essential.
Must enjoy dogs and be willing to incorporate him into the client's day.
