Tanker Driver Job Description

Overview
Landtran Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting liquid cargo safely and efficiently while adhering to all regulatory requirements on the highways within British Columbia and Alberta. This role requires a solid commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

What we offer:
$0.65 cents per mile-bulk milk
$0.57 all other work
$28.84 per Hour (Paid for Pre-trip, Post trip and fueling)
4% Safety Incentive Paid Quarterly
Extend Medical and Health benefits after 3 months that are 75% paid for by employer 25% Employee Paid

Duties
Safely transport liquid cargo in a tanker truck to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in secure operating condition.
Make sure the load is secured
Deliver freight to customer safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo transported.
Year-round work in all weather conditions.




Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.

Experience
Class 1 or AZ License- with endorsements for tanker operation if required.
Current Clean Driver's Abstract (within the last 30 days)
Able to pass a Drug/Alcohol test and Criminal Record Check
Ability to regularly lift/move up to 75 lbs
Minimum 2 years of driving experience or 150,000 km pulling articulating trailers endorsements for tanker operation.
Mountain experience required (2 years)
Weights and dimensions expertise
ELogs Samsara tablets experience considered an asset
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tankers or similar freight vehicles.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation.
