About Us
Helmand Kabab House is a well-established Afghan restaurant serving fresh, flavorful kababs, rice dishes, and traditional specialties. We're hiring Kitchen Staff to support our cooking and food prep team.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients (chopping vegetables, marinating meats, prepping sauces) following recipes and portion guidelines
Assist cooks with grilling, frying, and plating dishes
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station
Monitor food stock and inform management of low supplies
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Support during high-volume periods and catering orders
Requirements
Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced, team environment
Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
