We have an immediate opening for an Industrial Millwright Mechanic in our Carberry, Manitoba, facility . The successful candidate will work with maintenance supervisors, teams and other trade groups to improve reliability, maintain a safe environment and continuous improvement to ensure efficiency and reduce downtime through preventive/predictive maintenance, timely repairs and inspections in a fast-paced environment.
- Inspect, disassemble, reassemble, install, adjust and maintain mechanical equipment on site.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify problem and resolve.
- Proactive pre-use inspection of tools and equipment.
- Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints and operation & maintenance manuals.
- Work well as part of a team or on own to ensure customers needs are met in the required timeline without compromising safety.
- Complete site-specific documentation permits and other customer paperwork.
- Develop inspection reports documenting inspection data and findings.
- Participate and coordinate site project kick-offs where required.
- Interface with the customer and provide professional and courteous feedback in a timely manner.
- Ensures the safety of self and others.
- Comply with company safety procedures and legal obligations.
- Recognize, report and resolve all hazards.
- Intervene where unsafe practices are identified.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Effort and Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Working in confined spaces
About You:
- Minimum of Grade 12 education.
- Hold a Red Seal Millwright trade ticket.
- Previous relatable industrial experience, especially within a good manufacturing environment, would be considered an asset, but not required.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and work ethic.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems including but not limited to pumps, bearings, gearboxes, motors, alignments, lubrication, and vibration analysis.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and ability to work individually as well as a team environment.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and a keen sense of urgency in a secure environment.
- Must be able to maintain accurate record keeping- data entry.
