Barminco Canada is seeking experienced Underground Heavy Duty Mechanics to join their maintenance team at the Red Chris Mine in northern British Columbia. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced mining equipment and technology in a challenging underground setting. Ideal candidates are mechanically qualified tradespeople with strong auto electrical skills and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

What You’ll Need

- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency




- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification
- Valid Driver’s License; manual transmission experience required
- Ability to work a 14/14 FIFO rotation (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off)
- Experience diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and electro-hydraulic systems
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and use diagnostic software
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Fit for Duty medical including alcohol and drug screening

What Will Make You Stand Out

- 3-5 years of underground Heavy Duty Mechanic experience (preferred)
- Proven auto electrical troubleshooting experience in a mining environment (preferred)
