n • On-call delivery agent (also known as a letter carrier). You'll be the face of Canada Post in your community and make sure customers and businesses get the mail and parcels they're waiting for.n • On-call postal clerk- you will have the opportunity to work various shifts, including days, evenings, overnights and weekends. This temporary on-call position is an excellent opportunity to learn about the business of mail operations, as well as the great jobs available at Canada Post. n n n n n Job Responsibilitiesn n n n As a Delivery Agent-What will you do?n • You'll start your day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day's deliveriesn • You'll load and drive a Canada Post postal vehiclen • You'll then spend most of your day outside,



delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle to customers on your routen • You'll return to the depot to unload the day's incoming mail and packages for later deliveryn n n n n Job Responsibilities (continued)n n n n As a Postal Clerk-What will you do?n • You'll work inside a sorting facility, sorting mail and packagesn • Work various shifts (may include evenings/nights and weekends)n • Operation of material handling equipment n • Receiving and accepting mail itemsn • Sort, scan and sequence and batch mail itemsn • Transfers and dispatching of parcels and packetsn • Perform other postal clerk duties as required n • Completes reports and documentationn n n n n Qualificationsn n n n What must you have?n • A valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required)n • The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the dayn • The ability to work in all types of weathern • The availability to be on-call, possibly evenings and weekends n • The ability to read, write and speak English and/or Frenchn n These help, too!n
