The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Book shipments online and over the phone,
Negotiate Rates with Carriers, Enter Loads in system, and follow up with Driver and Broker
Planning Pick up & Delivery appointments and ensuring shipments meet timeframes
Dispatch Drivers on Pick up & Delivery
Plan, assign, and manage city, Canada-wide, and USA loads
Dispatch drivers and equipment efficiently
Monitor truck and trailer movement in real time
Handle late-night and after-hours operational issues
Ensure all loads are picked up and delivered on time
Communicate clearly with drivers regarding instructions and changes
Ensure drivers follow Metro Xpress policies and customer requirements
Collect PODs, lumper receipts, temperature reports, and delivery documents
Verify compliance for reefer and dry shipments

Requirements:
Previous experience in Trucking business as Logistics Coordinator role
Exceptional Customer Service skills
Experience working with FLEET, Load Link would be an asset.




Professional, courteous, polite, with excellent telephone manners
Strong organizational and time management skills
Fluency in verbal/written English
Strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to work in a agile and quick paced environment
Great problem-solving skills
