Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with strong experience in test automation of minimum 4 years of hands on experience to support cross-border banking projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Playwright and API automation, along with a solid understanding of up-to-date testing practices.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute automated functional test cases
Perform dry runs and test data setup to ensure successful execution
Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams to define test scenarios and requirements
Implement UI automation using Playwright
Perform API automation using Postman
Leverage AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity and code quality
Must-Have Qualifications
Proven 4+ years of experience as an SDET / Test Automation Engineer
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (UI automation)
Experience with API automation using Postman
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar)
Experience designing and executing automated test cases
Solid collaboration and communication skills for working with distributed teams
Technical Requirements
Test automation frameworks and best practices
UI and API test automation
Test data setup and validation
Version control tools ( GitHub)
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot)
Additional Requirements
Must be a local candidate in Toronto
Willing to work 4 days onsite (hybrid mode)
Background check is mandatory
