GNF Commercial Management Limited is hiring excavator operators to support civil, residential, and commercial construction projects across Halifax and the surrounding region.

In this role, you will operate heavy equipment to perform excavation, trenching, and material handling tasks, contributing to secure and efficient site operations.

Responsibilities
Operate excavators and heavy equipment for digging, trenching, and grading
Excavate, load, and move materials such as soil, rock, and debris
Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Assist crew members with site duties when required
Follow all safety procedures and site protocols
Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow





Requirements
Experience operating excavators or similar heavy equipment
Experience on residential or commercial construction sites preferred
Mid-rise demolition experience is an asset
Safety certifications (WHMIS, Fall Protection, First Aid) are assets
Physically capable of working outdoors in all conditions
Own PPE (hard hat, steel-toed boots, reflective vest) is an asset
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
Ability to remain focused and make decisions under pressure
Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
Solid communication skills
