Istanbul Kebab House is a growing Turkish and Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Halifax. We take pride in serving authentic, high-quality dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, including our signature charcoal grill.

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen and wants to be part of a friendly, qualified team.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Operate a traditional charcoal grill to prepare kebabs and other grilled specialties.
Prepare meats, vegetables, sauces, and other ingredients for daily service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and receiving deliveries.
Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner services.
Support teammates to ensure smooth kitchen operations.





Qualifications
Previous experience as a cook or line cook is preferred.
Experience with charcoal grilling is an asset but training can be provided.
Ability to work in a quick-paced environment.
Solid attention to detail and food quality.
Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
Food Safety Certification is an asset.
Weekend and evening availability preferred.
