Doepker Industries is a leading Canadian manufacturer of highway semi-trailers. We are continually developing recent and innovative designs for our customers across Canada and have won awards and been recognized for business excellence and innovation since 1948.

We are currently looking for two permanent, full time Welders to join our team at our Moose Jaw location. The required shift will be from (5:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) Monday – Thursday.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Manufacturing Coordinator, the purpose of the Welder is to support the manufacturing flow by providing secure, efficient and quality welding processes to ensure our customers’ trailers are on schedule for delivery.

Key accountabilities include:

· Review drawings and problem solve when drawings are not available

· Weld horizontal and vertical filets

· Weld vertical down filets and vertical down laps

· Torch cutting

· Weld sub-assemblies and final assemblies

· Maintain equipment

· Maintain a clean work area

· Follow established procedures (safe operating procedures; quality procedures; work instructions)

· Share your ideas to contribute to process improvements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

· Experience welding on a production line





· Pre-employment or production line welding certification is an asset

· Experience using hand tools

· Strong mechanical aptitude

· Ability to think critically and problem solve

· Experience working with drawings

· Ability to collaborate with a team

· An understanding of hydraulics is an asset

· Experience welding on aluminum is an asset

· Experience with lean methodology is an asset
