Duties
Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
Support patients with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
Serve nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Provide compassionate patient care by engaging in meaningful conversations and offering emotional support
Perform light housekeeping in emergency situations tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a secure environment
Help with mobility and transfer techniques using proper lifting methods to ensure safety for both clients and staff
Document care provided accurately in client records and communicate any changes or concerns to supervising staff promptly
Qualifications
Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care settings is highly preferred
Demonstrated experience working with individuals with dementia care needs
Solid understanding of patient care principles and caregiving best practices
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and effectively
Excellent communication skills combined with a caring attitude and patience
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
