On behalf of our client, an automotive Tier 1 supplier of machined components, we are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager with robust employee relations, H&S; and other workplace Law compliance, and staffing strategies experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
This strategic and crucial position will be involved in the setting up HR policies and procedures from scratch as they relate to manufacturing. This position will work closely with department managers to forecast needs, manage recruitment, and foster a positive workplace culture. This position is suited for someone experienced in a hands-on leadership capacity in HR and experienced in working closely with the Plant Manager to foster and sustain a safe manufacturing workplace for all employees. This role will suit an experienced HR Manager who is comfortable creating structure in a new operation and moving between strategic HR and practical, day-to-day execution.:
Create HR policies in line with local laws governing employment and manufacturing regulations governing the workplace (this includes ESA, WSIB, OADA, Occupational Heath and Safety Regulations, Employee Benefits)
Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and immigration processes
Ensure compliance with the workplace regulations and policies governing health & safety and ESA requirements
Handle performance management and training initiatives
Manage daily office administration and documentation
Qualifications/Education/Skills/Experience required:
Bachelor's degree in HR Management or other related Business discipline is a requirement
a minimum of 5 years of HR management experience within an automotive manufacturing environment is required
In-depth experience with the execution and compliance of workplace Occupational Health & Safety regulations within a manufacturing workplace is required
Experience with immigration processes, including LMIA's and other employment retention requirements would be considered an asset and is highly preferred
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, strong initiative taking and continuous improvement mind, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision, strong decision making abilities are all required for success in this role
Job Types: Full time, Permanent
Pay: $110,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
