Bird Stairs – Truro NS

Bird Stairs is looking for a result driven, experienced inside/counter salesperson responsible for establishing relationships and marketing our company’s brands in a way that is positive, honest, and skilled.

As a successful inside/counter sales representative, you will strive to find new customers, retain current customers, and develop cutting-edge solutions for bettering our product and service. The work you do on the phone is directly linked to successful outcomes resulting from customer retention and word-of-mouth sales. We require an energetic, positive, customer-oriented individual who communicates well with others and enjoys working with people.

Within this role you will be responsible for:

· Facilitating the sales process, initiating from the original phone call through finalizing account setup/update for each customer you speak with

· Researching and understanding our product lines so that you are familiar with each of our product’s to confidently advise our customers

· Maintaining an organized workspace so that documents, updates, and product information is readily accessible for reference and to answer questions





· Listening attentively to customer questions and provide answers that are knowledgeable and insightful to encourage product sale

· Preparing quotes for customers and following up in a timely manner

· Documenting sales by creating and updating records of customer profiles

· Ensuring that customers are well-taken care of after a sale

Qualifications:

· Sound plumbing and/or electrical knowledge

· Superior listening and communication skills

· Strong interpersonal communication skills

· Sales and customer service

· Retail experience is not required but would be a definite asset

· Experience in ERP systems (SYSPRO) would be an asset

· Energetic, positive, customer-oriented individual and a team player
