Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards are maintained
Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities diligently
Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a secure and hygienic workplace
Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques using proper body mechanics and equipment when necessary




Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
Follow care plans meticulously, reporting any changes in health or behavior to supervisors or healthcare professionals

Skills
Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments with a focus on senior care or hospice care
Strong patient care skills with the ability to handle individuals with disabilities or dementia with patience and empathy
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or transferring clients
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Basic cleaning skills to maintain a tidy living space that supports health and safety standards
Experience working with diverse populations including those requiring specialized dementia or hospice care
