Eagle Lake Nurseries Ltd. is an established company that is a leader in the Prairie nursery industry for over 50 years. We are a full-service wholesale supplier of nursery stock to the landscape, construction, and garden centre markets.

Eagle Lake Nurseries Ltd. is looking for a Class 1 Delivery Truck Driver. Position includes delivering plants to Calgary and area, as well as loading and unloading trucks. Trucks include Semi with flat deck trailer as well as 5-ton Crane truck, and Cube Van. Seasonal position with an average of 35 hours/week. May be required to work some Saturdays. Applicants should be physically fit, reliable, and familiar with the city. Crane operation experience would be an asset. Please provide a current driver abstract.

Employment Terms: Seasonal (thru October)

· Part-time to Full time hours as required

· In-house training provided

· Monday – Friday (occasional Saturdays)

Job Description:
Delivery of trees and shrubs into Calgary and surrounding area
Loading and unloading trucks




Securing loads with tarps and straps
Operating a crane
Unloading and moving plants at customer job sites
General maintenance of truck and equipment
Truck safety requirements
Follow dispatch instructions and routes
Required to complete shipping documents

Requirements:
Valid Class 1 driver's licence
Experience operating a crane or willing to learn
Excellent customer service skills
Qualified and enthusiastic work ethic
Available to work Monday to Friday average of 35 hours per week
Able and willing to drive various trucks including flat deck with crane, club van, and semi's with drop deck trailers

Trucks:

· 5-ton flat deck with crane

· 24’ Cube Van Single Axle, air brakes required

· Semi with 48’ drop deck trailer
