Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Hand to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workplace. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, basic cooking tasks, and food handling, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene are upheld. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the food industry and develop foundational skills in restaurant operations.

Duties
Assist with food preparation and meal assembly under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Support cooking processes by preparing ingredients and maintaining cooking stations
Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage, sanitation, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Serve food to customers or staff as needed, ensuring presentation standards are met
Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly to maintain hygiene standards
Support with dishwashing and waste disposal to ensure a tidy workspace
Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels




Follow all safety procedures related to food handling and kitchen operations

Experience
Proficiency in Italian is an asset
Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Familiarity with serving, food preparation, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices is desirable
Experience working in the food industry or kitchen workplace will help ensure a smooth transition into the role
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
