Job Summary:
As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and productive operation of our kitchen. You will lead a team of skilled culinary professionals to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and staff scheduling
Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement innovative menu items and streamline kitchen processes
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
Mentor and train kitchen staff to enhance their skills and promote a positive work environment
Monitor and report on kitchen performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar leadership role within the food service industry
Proven track record of managing a high-volume kitchen operation and leading a team of culinary professionals
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and budget oversight
Robust working knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Culinary diploma or equivalent training preferred
Working Conditions:
This position requires working in a quick-paced, commercial kitchen environment. Typical work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate the cafe's operating schedule. The role may also involve occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
