Business Analyst

A client of Robert Half is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a solid background in the insurance industry to support cross-functional business and technology initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of business analysis experience, excellent communication skills, and hands-on exposure to insurance processes such as claims, underwriting, policy administration, billing, or customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Gather and document business requirements, user stories, and process flows
Analyze current-state workflows and recommend improvements
Support projects across insurance operations and technology teams
Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and UAT activities
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams




Perform data analysis to support decision-making and reporting

Qualifications
5+ years of business analysis experience
Must have insurance industry experience (P&C;, Life, Health, Group Perks, or similar)
Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement
Experience in Agile or hybrid project environments
Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar
Robust communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills

Nice to Have
Experience with insurance systems or platforms
Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, SQL, etc.)
BA or insurance designations (CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, CIP, FCIP)
