Stacey Danley at Aplin has partnered with our south Winnipeg client on the search for a Property Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of residential properties. This is an excellent prospect for an accounting professional with an interest in property management.

Please note this is a full time, Monday-Friday permanent role.

Responsibilities:
Preparing and maintaining monthly property financial statements
Posting monthly journal entries and adjustments (e.g., deferred rent, amortization, prepaid expenses)
Reconciling rental revenue to the rent roll
Calculating operating cost recovery adjustments
Verifying proper coding of payables through general ledger reviews
Preparing monthly GST remittances
Collaborating directly with the property management team to ensure accuracy and clarity in reporting

Qualifications:
A diploma or degree in accounting (or equivalent real estate accounting experience)
1+ years of full-cycle accounting experience




Property accounting experience or exposure to property management
Proficiency with Yardi software and Excel
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
