Compensation Salary range (but not limited to): $94,200 - $115,200 Annual bonus target (based on the base salary) with a potential payout of up to double the target: 12%. Salary determination will consider experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The range presented above is based on a 35‑hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. What you’ll do here - Obtain and analyze underwriting data,



perform financial analysis, and apply critical thinking on underwriting decisions and client relationship issues.

- Analyze the financial position of current and new contract clients.
- Provide recommendations to management on contract surety bond support to provide to existing and prospective contract clients.
- Negotiate specific terms and conditions for issuing Contract Surety bonds to clients.
- Monitor the development projects and exposures.
- Develop new business through networking/marketing with brokers, clients, contractors, consultants, lawyers, and other market participants.
- Gain and expand upon industry knowledge to improve underwriting decisions.
- Represent Intact at various contractors’ associations and industry‑related functions. What you bring to the table - Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance - Experience – minimum 3 years for the Senior Underwriter and 7 years experience for the Specialist role in contract surety or commercial lending, and/or experience in a commercial insurance underwriting or brokerage capacity.
- Solid understanding of financial statements - Demonstrated capability for outstanding customer service - Proven track record for quick, accurate problem resolution - Strong analytical and research skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Can handle multiple tasks in a high‑volume,



fast‑paced workplace - Can work independently and collaborate with co‑workers in a team setting - Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products - No Canadian work experience required; however must be eligible to work in Canada.
