The role will operate at both the strategic (vision, strategy, planning) and tactical (execution and continuous improvement) levels, and will partner cross-functionally across the business at all levels, including senior leadership. The role will be directly responsible for maturing and implementing crisis management and business recovery/continuity plans, and will partner closely with EHS, Physical Security and IT to drive alignment across emergency response and disaster recovery, and ensure a single, cohesive and aligned business resiliency capability.
This role provides the opportunity to oversee a global program that directly supports Apotex’s ability to grow and maintain a reliable and continuous supply of medical and health products to patients globally.Job ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership and serve as the primary subject matter expert for the Apotex Business Resiliency program, including vision, strategy, and planning across short and long-term timeframes. Chair the Business Resiliency Steering Committee.Mature and implement/align all components of the business resiliency program, in close partnership with the VP ERM, Sr. Director EHS, Director of Corporate Security, and IT Dep., including emergency response, incident management, crisis management, and business recoveryDraft and maintain all relevant business resiliency policies and SOPsPartner closely with the IT team to align with disaster recoveryDevelop crisis management and business recovery planning approach, materials, and templates, and implement across all Apotex sites and critical business functionsLead training, exercising, and awareness activities across the business to strengthen understanding of and compliance with business resiliency requirementsServe as crisis management coordinator for the business, in partnership with the VP, ERMResearch, recommend/select, and implement fit for purpose business resiliency technologyEnsure business resiliency program adheres to all relevant regulations and standards, and meets expectations of key internal and external stakeholdersSelection/oversight/management/coordination of external business resiliency partners,
