Overview Licensed or 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (Truck and Coach Technician 310T) – Breslau, ON. Responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy diesel equipment within the facility.
Responsibilities Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all protected work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a secure manner.
Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
Complete repair orders.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles.
Communicate equipment servicing needs with Supervisor as required.
Complete warranty information.
Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
Carry out housekeeping duties.
Complete required documentation and daily samsara logs accurately and timely.
Qualifications Licensed/Journeyman or 3rd Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (310T License).
3+ years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
Hydraulics experience is an asset.
Experience working on Class 8 trucks and tanker trailers is an asset.
Ability to use diagnostic software (e.g., J Pro).
Class G Driver's License required.
