Shape the future of young welders at St. Joseph High School in Red Deer, AB as a full time Welding and Fabrication Instructor. This position focuses on student education and shop safety.
We're looking for a passionate educator to lead our Fabrication program and oversee the Dual Credit Welding initiative. In this role, you will teach courses while mentoring students in a well-equipped shop. Your focus will also be on enforcing safety protocols and collaborating with community partners to enhance our program.
Key Responsibilities:
• Instruct high school Fabrication courses with care
• Implement the Dual Credit welding curriculum
• Organize and maintain shop equipment
• Cultivate a safety-first mindset among students
• Act as primary liaison with post-secondary partners
Requirements:
• Journeyman Welding Certificate / Red Seal is preferred
• Proficiency in various welding techniques
• Experience in mentorship is an asset
• Need a valid Teaching Certificate/License
• Solid classroom communication abilities
