Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Superintendent is responsible for leading and developing a high performance team of supervisors and unionized workers to optimize safety, product quality and line efficiencies for plant Operations.What You’ll DoLeading and supervising a team of supervisors and unionized workers to optimize safety, product quality,
and productivity in plant OperationsResponsible for all plant Operations in the absence of the Operations ManagerEnsure work is performed safely and in accordance with OHS standards; that workers are protected from any hazards and such hazards are identified and controlled; and workers use the prescribed safety equipmentMaintain and enforce quality standards including food safety (GMP) and good housekeeping protocols; support operations in customer and third-party auditsDevelop plans to ensure annual KPI objectives are achieved for safety, product quality, efficiencies and cost; providing direction andsupport to continuous improvement initiativesDevelop and implement procedures that measurably reduce the risk of producing non-conforming productCoach, develop and performance management of direct reports, emphasizing frequent communication, feedback and promoting a high level of teamwork and engagementPlan the effective and efficient scheduling of labour, equipment and material resources for Converting OperationsLead significant production productivity and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance to Atlantic Operating Systems (AOS)Foster solid relationships and communication with internal and externals departments and stakeholdersAdministration and application of the collective agreement and Company policies/proceduresOther duties as assignedWhat You BringPost‑secondary Degree / Diploma in a related discipline is preferred,
