About the Position
Lethbridge Polytechnic offers a student-centered workplace that provides practical and innovative learning experiences. The Centre for Trades (CTRA) delivers a range of certificate and apprenticeship programs. The Centre defines itself through excellence in teaching and learning, fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in all activities: development and renewal of courses and programs, approaches to teaching and learning, and scholarly activity and community engagement by faculty, staff, and students.
Responsibilities
Instruct various essential portions of the program
Content development and ongoing updates and maintenance
Track student progress and implement interventions as needed
Answer and respond to in-person, telephone, and email inquiries
Promote the program and facilitate recruitment of students
Purchase of materials and equipment
Provide reports and updates to the Associate Dean as needed
Establish and maintain critical relationships with key partners and stakeholders
Administrative tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
Journeyman Red Seal Powerline Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and foster relationships
Strong organizational skills
Robust oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well in a team workplace, as well as independently
Preferred Qualifications
Instructional or training experience
Salary
Commensurate with education and experience according to the Faculty Collective Agreement.
