We are currently searching for a agile Pricing/Business Analyst at our St. John's office. Reporting to the Assistant Controller – Revenue, the Pricing/Business Analyst will respond to competitive rate analysis and requests from external as well as internal users through electronic media with the support of the rating and logistics modules, and other tools. He/she will prepare analysis and rates for special projects from the Commercial and Business Development teams.

Tasks and responsibilities

Respond to analysis and requests for pricing/business information from customers and Commercial staff, as required, including terms and conditions

Actively assist commercial efforts through practice of exceptional customer service by focusing on relationship building

Interface with the Invoicing Department on sales transacted outside the prescribed invoicing process, including the investigation of invoicing discrepancies and disposition, as directed

Respond to requests for analysis of pricing discrepancies

Assist the Assistant Controller – Revenue with special projects and RFPs, including recommendations





Prepare departmental reports, as directed

Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

University degree in transportation, administration, cost accounting or equivalent combination of experience and education

Minimum of 5 years of accounting, costing models, sales and/or related experience

Experience in transportation industry

Knowledge of AS400 (an asset)

Solid knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel and Word)

Skills

Robust organizational and priority management skills

Ability to work with limited supervision and under pressure

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to respond promptly to clients’ needs
