Lloydminster
Onsite Sign Group has been designing and building landmarks across Western Canada since 1993. From a two-person garage operation to a 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, we now employ over 60 people across 7 cities in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our Lloydminster facility is the manufacturing heart of the company — every custom project moves through design, CNC, fabrication, paint, assembly, and shipping before it is installed across the Prairies.
Finished signage is often large, fragile, and one of a kind — there is no replacement on the shelf if it arrives damaged. Careful packaging and load planning are what protect weeks of work in every other department.
What You'll Do
- Receive deliveries and verify quantities, condition, paperwork, and job identification.
- Label, stage, and store incoming material in the correct location.
- Review shipping requirements and confirm completed products match the packing list.
- Measure and build wood crates, frames, skids, blocking, and protective packaging for custom signs.
- Wrap, pad, brace, strap, and protect freight against movement, moisture, abrasion, and impact.
- Take required before-and-after packaging photographs and complete shipping records.
- Plan loads and work with drivers and yard staff to load trucks and trailers safely.
- Operate forklift, skid steer, or telehandler when trained and authorized.
- Track reusable shipping equipment, straps, blankets,
hardware, and packaging supplies.
- Maintain an orderly shipping area, material racks, crate-building area, and outdoor staging space.
What We're Looking For
- Shipping/receiving, warehouse, crate-building, carpentry, or material-handling experience.
- Able to read a tape measure and build strong, square packaging from basic plans or dimensions.
- Experience using saws, drills, nailers, staplers, strapping tools, and hand tools safely.
- Able to lift and move material and work around large products.
- Organized, dependable, and careful with paperwork and job identification.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
Experience That Is an Asset
- Cabinetmaking, carpentry, custom crating, skid-steer, telehandler, or load-securement experience.
- Experience shipping oversized, fragile, or custom manufactured products.
What We Offer
- $24–$32 per hour, based on demonstrated experience and ability.
- Health and dental perks after the successful completion of the probationary period.
- Full-time, year-round work — Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. — home every night.
- Practical training and a real path to advancement — we promote from within.
- Stable, growing company with over 30 years in business.
If you take pride in freight arriving in the same condition it left, we want to hear from you.
