Build tools that industry trusts — from our bench, not a rotational camp job.
KASI Technologies is a Canadian specialty equipment company providing heat treating, field machining, hydraulic bolting, equipment rentals, and related services to the pipeline, oil sands, fabrication, mining, petrochemical, and industrial sectors. Based in Sherwood Park and Fort McMurray, we’re part of the Gallant-Fong Group, operating across Canada, the U.S., the U.K., and the UAE.
We’re hiring an intermediate Tool Repair & Calibration Technician for our Sherwood Park shop. This is a steady, day-shift bench role — not a rotational field position — with the occasional trip to a customer site. If you’ve spent a few years turning wrenches and you’re ready to move into precision calibration work, this is a place to grow that craft.
What you’ll do
- Diagnose, disassemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild air/pneumatic, hydraulic,
and electric tools and pumps — returning each one to spec
- Troubleshoot pumps and power tools down to the component level
- Calibrate mechanical and hydraulic torque wrenches, multipliers, bolt tensioners, pumps, and pressure gauges to recognized standards (ISO 6789 for torque tools)
- Issue calibration certificates and tag your work with complete, traceable documentation
- Turn around rental equipment — inspecting, repairing, and certifying tools in and out
- Work within our ISO 9001 quality system and keep the shop and lab clean and safe
What you bring
- 1–3 years in tool repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, instrumentation, or a mechanical trade, with some exposure to calibration or precision measurement
- Ability to work across a broad mix of tools and read manuals, schematics, and specs to diagnose to the component
- Real attention to detail — you care whether a number reads 199 or 200
- Clean documentation habits, basic computer comfort, and the ability to work with limited supervision
- Able to lift and handle heavy tooling and wear required PPE
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
Benefits
- Dental care
- Extended health care
Work Location: In person
