At Equinix, we are searching for a Staff API Engineer to transform how our API ecosystem operates. You will work closely with product teams and engineers, leveraging your expertise in API specifications, SDK generation, and developer documentation—using tools like OpenAPI and Docusaurus. This role emphasizes mentorship and contributing to architectural reviews, fostering growth in junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver features for API ecosystem tooling
• Implement and operate ecosystem tooling and automation




• Analyze developer feedback to develop actionable requirements
• Collaborate on architecture standards and operational governance
• Provide technical guidance on API standards and integrations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience with Go and/or Python development
• Working knowledge of API specifications and tooling
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git workflows
• Understanding of infrastructure as code practices
